Making invisible the work, research, theory, and writings of women (esp. women of color) is a microaggression

Making invisible the work, research, theory, and writings of women (esp. women of color) is a microaggression…it contributes to their devaluation and marginalization. It is a form of exploitation.

An important step in achieving a more just world is to step back, give space to others, and acknowledge the contributions of others.

If the only good ideas that you are aware of come from white men–then make an active effort to decolonize your knowledge. Seek out the wisdom from marginalized groups that are structurally erased. Reference it. Credit it. Spotlight it.

We have enough white male voices crowding the space. Give platform to those who are oppressed. Do not speak for them. Let them speak for themselves.
